Its name comes from the parcel where it was picked, this CUVEE has a higher percentage of Cabernet Sauvignon (40% to 50%) and a lower yield 35Hl/ Ha .
These strong and concentrated wines are ready to be grown for 12 months in new barrels.
This CUVEE, vin de garde, must be kept at least 3 years before drinking in order to let the potential of the wine grow and reveal its fine flavour and complexity. Also served in room temperature and uncorked 3 or 4 hours before being served,it will particulary suit meat, meals served with sauce or cheese (even strong).

Tasting : An elegant wine. Its deep garnet colour, reveals its youth. The slightly spicy black burries’bouquet
stays in the mouth dont il agrémente une structure tannique soyeuse.


This wine comes from 40 year-old vines(60% Merlot and 40% Cabernet Sauvignon)and is grown in barrels aged up to 4 during 12 months. The steeping lasts 4 weeks.
The wooden flavour transmitted by the oldest barrels is secondary compared to the wine flavour.
The wine can therefore be drunk sooner (18 months)even if it deserves to be kept 2 or 3 years.
The Château Haut-Meneau (served in room temperature and uncorked 3 or 4 hours before being served) will particulary suit grilled meat, game or cheese (even strong).

Tasting : "A hunter wine. In glass, one finds a pretty color frank ruby. The first nose surprises by its scents of venaison, of leather.
Ventilation releases the ripe fruit and the wooded one.
The mouth fleshy, is supported by vigorous tannins."

Tasting : Pale yellow to light golden. An olfactory treat ... It appreciates the floral scents of fresh citrus and sweets (confectionery).
